It is well-known that yoga can relieve stress. And creative writing certainly can too! But how to combine the two? In this workshop, Bea Ammidown will use her skills as a certified yoga therapist and journalist (Life and LA Times) to help you access the healing benefits of both writing and yoga. This creative and healing workshop allows hidden (or very present) voices in the body to speak through gentle dynamic movements and energizing writing. A one-hour yoga practice will be followed by a guided visualization, leading to 20-30 minutes of creative writing. Participants may then read what they write in a sacred and confidential circle. Supportive comments welcome; no criticism. Tea will be served. Beginning yogis and non-writers welcome. Bring a yoga mat, notebook and pen/pencil.
